As a family owned and run business, we practically live in the arena with our four-legged family. Days start early and finish late, and we love it.

Set up as a boutique equestrian centre with a purpose for providing excellent horse riding experiences, Sumner Valley Riding School (SVRS) has grown from private coaching to offering group lessons, pony parties, and special needs sessions. We have continued to expand and provide the highest quality experience and safety for all riders. We are smaller than other Christchurch Horse Riding offerings, but we are equally as mighty!

If you are a new rider interested in a regular riding session please speak to SVRS management by phone or email. 

Please be aware that you SHOULD NOT book a course if you haven’t been directed to by SVRS management.
